The perfect course for those wishing to start growing vegetables, herbs and salads for the first time or for those wishing to learn more about ‘no dig’ growing for edibles and sustainable vegetable growing practices.
You’ll be taught by Rachael – our Head of Horticulture – and will learn about the principles of ‘No Dig’. How to choose what to grow, direct seed sowing versus module sowing, natural pest and disease management including companion planting, successional sowing and keeping your plot productive through out the year.
Rachael will teach you about long term perennial edible crops and herbs which are great for those with less time to spend in the garden.
This small group (Maximum 8 participants) is taught on site here at Babylon with a delicious lunch included.

Meet your teacher, Rachael Collins
Rachael is our head of horticulture here at Babylon. She is RHS certified and has over ten years experience working in a wide range of horticultural fields. She has a passion for sustainable horticulture and what this means in a practical sense for gardens and gardeners.
