Whistleblower Policy

  1. Purpose: The garden centre encourages employees, customers, and suppliers to report any suspected unethical or illegal activity by any employee or representative of the garden centre. This policy outlines the procedures for reporting such activity.
  2. Scope: This policy applies to all employees, customers, and suppliers of the garden centre.
  3. Reporting: Anyone who suspects unethical or illegal activity by an employee or representative of the garden centre may report it to their supervisor, manager, or the owner of the garden centre. If the employee’s supervisor is suspected of the activity, the report should be made to the next highest level of management.
  4. Anonymous reporting: Anonymous reporting is permitted, and reports may be submitted in writing, by email, or by phone to the designated contact person.
  5. Protection: The garden centre will protect the confidentiality of any person who reports suspected unethical or illegal activity. The garden centre will not tolerate retaliation against any employee who makes a good faith report.
  6. Investigation: Upon receiving a report, the garden centre will conduct an investigation to determine the validity of the report. If the report is found to be valid, the garden centre will take appropriate action to remedy the situation.
  7. False reporting: Any person who knowingly makes a false report may be subject to disciplinary action.
