Offering general repairs and more
Much like the concept of the BBC’s The Repair Shop, as well as general repairs our in-house specialities include a whole host of useful services.
We always try and preserve and repair rather than replace. This can be subjective, so we will always discuss with you at the start and during projects. We are happy to do this either in person or photos can be sent to start the conversation and see what is the best way forward.
Most of the work is done on site in the workshop. If it’s not something we can help with we have a network of specialists we can recommend. For example we know a wonderful local upholsterer who we can put you in touch with.

Previous projects
We’ve completed lots of different repair and restoration projects. From restoring Windsor Lanterns by William Suggs, through to chair repairs.
Windsor Lantern
These lanterns were of very high quality, and a few have been discovered on the Babylon site in various states of repair. The first has been restored and is now on top of a lampost in our carpark.
Chair repairs
We have had a wide selection of chairs coming in needing repair. Wooden ones with legs that need fixing or metal ones needing welding back together. All have been repaired sympathetically following discussion with the owner.
