A wonderful night of music with a local string quartet
This was the second of our live music events this year, and it was brilliant! The birds were singing outside, whilst inside our greenhouse a very talented, local string quartet were playing one of the best-known set of violin concertos ever written, Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons.
The audience enjoyed the beautiful summer weather in our courtyard bar, which was open throughout the evening serving chilled drinks. Our talented chefs had also created a delicious mezze box, so our guests could enjoy food before the performance.
The performers gave vivid descriptions of each movement before playing each piece, so that we could really picture the scene that Vivaldi had created with the music. They were just superb, and we look forward to welcoming them back soon for another concert!
