If you’ve visited us recently you’re bound to have seen all the improvements we’ve made. As well as our beautiful new gates we’ve also been working to improve the courtyard area and have started creating mini garden areas which we hope will inspire you.
Our courtyard/patio garden is the first. You’ll see this on the left alongside our greenhouse and will soon be filled with lovely planters and plants.
Right next to this we’re building the ‘Babylon fish pond’. An area that (you guessed it!) will contain a small pond with suitable planting and ideas on how you can recreate the same in your outside space.
We’re keeping Henry busy as his next job will be to raise the height of the wall. It’s a little low right now and we don’t want anyone falling in or the fish getting out.
The other area we’re working on are the ‘Pocket Gardens’ that are scattered around our site. The first is now planted up, by some of the students of our Gardening for Wellbeing course. Situated alongside our courtyard area you’ll be able to have a look at the plants they’ve used and get some inspiration for your garden and raised beds.
Destination Babylon
As always it’s an on-going process, and we’ve got the spring and summer ahead of us to keep making Babylon better. This is a fabulous destination to get plants for your outdoor space, and when the sun is out our outdoor eating area is the perfect place to enjoy some delicious food and drink…and to keep and eye on what Henry is building next!
