Cooking for a special occasion

How to plan, create and cook the perfect menu for a special dinner or entertaining guests.

We’ll teach you the skills and techniques to create a delicious meal for a special occasion. You’ll learn how to balance the courses to complement each other and leave your guests suitably impressed.

Alongside our chef Alex you will cook an elegant, seasonal, three course meal. There will also be an opportunity to discuss how to plan a dinner party, where to source ingredients and how to balance flavours and textures.

YOU’LL LEARN

  • Seared scallop, celeriac pureé, lemon beurre blanc, prosciutto
  • Pan roasted duck breast, duck fat potatoes, green beans and leek, thyme and shallot pan gravy
  • Pot au chocolat, almond cremé chantilly, coffee soil

The course will be taught in our Courtyard Kitchen which does get cold, so please ensure you are wearing enough warm layers.

This small group (Maximum 6 participants) is taught on site here at Babylon with a delicious lunch included, plus you’ll get the food you’ve made to take home and impress your family.
